Jemez Valley Middle & High Schools
Students and Families,
If you are planning on attending junior college or a 4 year college/university, you must have either an ACT or SAT score on file with that university prior to being accepted.
I'm recommending you all take the ACT test rather than the SAT. I believe it is more student friendly.
The flyer has the test dates and test deadlines for the year. On page 2 there is a link to ACT prep to help get you ready for the test. You can download a free ACT Prep Guide on their website and find additional FREE ACT resources as well.
In addition: Edgenuity offers a Virtual Tutoring session for ACT Reading/Language if you are interested in taking that, please let me know if you are and I'll put you in that tutoring course.
The deadline for the December test is coming up, so if you want to take that one, get registered.
I suggest you take the December or February test so you can get accepted more quickly to the college of your choice.
Because of COVID, the test sites and spaces available for testing are much smaller than usual. This is ANOTHER reason to get registered soon! Bernalillo, Los Alamos and Rio Rancho all have at least one test site to chose from.
If you have not requested a fee waiver from me, please do so and I will email one to you.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the registration process.
