Contest Winners

The American Legion Constitutional Oratorical Contest recently crowned its winners last March 10, 2024 at the American Legion Post 13 Headquarters, Albuquerque, with Riley Toya seizing the title of champion and Boollega Chavez clinching a remarkable third place. The event was supported our very own High School Principal Dr. Eudore Camata.

Riley Toya's ascension to the championship podium was marked by their commanding presence and eloquent discourse. Under the tutelage of Ms. Ria Low, Toya honed their oratory skills to perfection, weaving together intricate constitutional concepts with compelling narratives. Their impassioned delivery resonated with judges and spectators alike, solidifying their place as the contest's standout performer. Riley Toya will compete and will travel by air for the nationals at Hillsdale College, Michigan State dated between May 16-May 19.

Boollega Chavez, mentored by the esteemed Ms. Ria Low, showcased remarkable insight and articulation in securing the third-place position. Chavez's thoughtful analysis and polished presentation underscored the depth of their understanding of constitutional principles. With Ms. Ria Low's guidance, Chavez emerged as a formidable contender, leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed their oration.
